What this isThe BCH Builders Meetup exists to bring back a culture of contribution, experimentation, and building within the Bitcoin Cash ecosystem.For several months, we have been running the meetup virtually, connecting builders, developers, and curious young talents around BCH, technology, and what is actually possible to build with it. We have run five sessions so far, built a live home for the community at bchbuilders.online, and created real momentum and interest across several cities, within the country and beyond.The online format works. Now we want to take it offline.The pilot: September to December 2026For the last four months of 2026, we are running a four-city tour across:Adamawa State Taraba State Gombe State Bauchi StateThe goal is simple: meet builders where they are, show more people what can be built with Bitcoin Cash, and create the conditions for new ideas, tools, and contributors to emerge.Each meetup combines:👨🏾‍💻 Builder conversations and technical sessions🛠️ Hands-on exploration and building💡 Idea sharing and experimentation🤝🏾 Networking and collaboration🎮 A fun, accessible community environment🎥 Documentation of the meetup and the builders we meet🚀 Showcasing what participants are buildingWe are also looking to collaborate with existing developer communities and organizations, including Google Developer Groups, to connect with local technical talent in each city.What we are raisingTarget: $3,000This funds the full four-month pilot, spread across all four cities rather than concentrated in one. Here is exactly where it goes. $1,000, goes to travel and intercity logistics, because moving the team and gear across Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, and Bauchi is the real cost of a four-city tour. Venue and community logistics take $480, covering space, setup, internet, and power backup in each city. Refreshments account for $400, keeping every room fed and energized across the four meetups. Swag and meetup materials take $320 for t-shirts, stickers, printed materials, and banners.CashStamps get $200, exactly $50 per city, because they are the fastest way to put real Bitcoin Cash in someone's hands and let them feel peer-to-peer cash work in seconds. That first hands-on moment is often what turns a curious attendee into a builder. Documentation takes $280 for the photos, video, recaps, and editing that turn each meetup into evidence we can build on. Builder support and bounties get $220, small rewards for standout builds and challenges. The final $100 is contingency, a buffer for the realities of running four events across four months.every sat is tied to putting builders in a room and helping them ship.Why this mattersThere are talented developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and young people across Nigeria who simply have not had enough exposure to what they can build with Bitcoin Cash.We want to change that.Adoption is not only about getting people to use BCH. It is also about helping people understand what they can create with it. Once a builder sees the tools, the liquidity, and the programmable capabilities are all there, the ideas start flowing.We already have the format. We have tested the community meetup model online. This four-city tour is the next experiment: take it into physical communities, discover new builders, document the outcomes, and learn what works.What you will see for your supportEvery meetup produces a documented recap of the people we meet, the ideas explored, and where possible, what participants actually build.
