CAMPUS CONNECT PHASE 2CampusConnect is a grassroots education initiative that brings practical Bitcoin Cash (BCH) knowledge directly to university and college students across Africa. Phase 1, funded by the Bitcoin Cash community, proved that a lean, campus-based model can turn curious students into informed users, and informed users into active builders. Phase 2 asks the community to back the next stage of that pipeline, a coordinated expansion into five African countries, deeper technical training tracks, and the seed infrastructure needed to turn campus clubs into a lasting regional builder network.What Phase 1 Taught UsThree lessons directly shape the Phase 2 design. First, in-person, hands-on sessions consistently outperform remote content for both retention and follow-through. Second, a local student-ambassador model multiplies reach far more cost-effectively than a traveling core team. Third, students who complete a first real transaction during a session are dramatically more likely to stay engaged than students who only hear a presentation — so Phase 2 puts hands on practice at the center of every session rather than the end of it.Phase 2: Scope & ObjectivesPhase 2 scales the proven CampusConnect model from its pilot footprint to five African countries, deepens the curriculum from awareness to applied building skills, and formalise the ambassador network into a self-sustaining regional structure. The goal is to create a pathway from student → learner → contributor → builder.Target CountriesWe will expand into five African countries, selected for a combination of student population, existing grassroots BCH interest, mobile-money familiarity, and ambassador candidates already identified through Phase 1 outreach:KENYA MOZAMBIQUE GHANA UGANDANIGERIAThe objective is simple:Bring BitcoinCash knowledge to students, give students the tools to experiment, and give the most motivated students an opportunity to become the next generation of builders.Onboard 40 campuses across the five target countries within the funding period.Directly train 500 students through in-person workshops, with a further 500 students reached through ambassador-led peer sessions.Launch an intermediate "Builder Track" — beyond wallets and self-custody — covering BCH scripting basics, CashTokens, SDK usage, and small hackathon-style projects, for students who complete the foundational track.Formalise a paid or stipend-supported Country Lead role in each of the five countries to coordinate campus outreach, logistics, and reporting.Establish a CampusConnect alumni network connecting ambassadors and top students across all five countries for ongoing collaboration, mentorship, and BCH ecosystem job/grant referrals.Publish an open-source, localised curriculum so any future campus or country can replicate the program without core-team involvement.Why we are leading ThisLocal problems need global solutions. Because we are part of the BitcoinCash community, we bring three things to table The network, we are using the opportunity to open doors for African Talents and at the same time building tools and bringing about adoption of BitconcashThe connection, bringing new connections that are profitable for BitcoinCash,students ad local communities The standard : we use the exact same materials used by PAYTACA team to train and educate studentsProgram StructureEach participating campus will move through three stages:Foundations (Workshop 1–2): BCH basics, why peer-to-peer electronic cash matters, wallet setup, and a guided first transaction.Application (Workshop 3–4): Merchant acceptance, remittances, self-custody security practices, and running a campus BCH club.Builder Track (ongoing): Selected students go deeper into development tools, CashTokens, and small team projects, culminating in a regional demo dayPhase 1 showed that a modest, community-funded initiative can turn students who had never held BCH into confident users, campus organisers, and early builders. We have a plan to survive today, and a plan to thrive tomorrow. Part A: What We Need Right Now (The Launch Phase) To get this engine started, we need support from our Community. Specifically, we need: The Venue: FLEXI HUB which will serve as a comfortable working space with tables and chairs that can accommodate 20-30 students per cohort and regional HUB, once completed will cut down the cost of renting venues frequently and save costThe Power: 4 hours of guaranteed electricity every Saturday. (Solar Power)The Internet: Fast, reliable Internet so students can connect to cloud servers.Facilitation: A small budget to support the mentors who are volunteering their time to teach.How We Become Independent (The Future) We don't want to beg for money forever. Our goal is to become self-sufficient. The "NEXUS Model: In the future, when we successfully graduate high values developers and builders, the subsequent cohort pays us a "TRAINING Fee."this. will be a masterclass that will cover various field of emerging technologies as well as building on BitcoinCashThe Cycle: We use that fee to fund the training for the next batch of students.
